Hawaiian Airlines has expanded its code-sharing agreement with Korean Air to allow customers to book flights between Honolulu and Bangkok, Thailand.

“Expanding our code sharing relationship with Korean Air allows us to offer our customers destinations in Asia beyond our own route network, while at the same time promoting Hawaii tourism by easing access to all of Hawaii from additional points in Korean Air’s network,” said Mark Dunkerley, president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines.

Hawaiian’s HA booking code is now listed in global reservations systems on daily flights operated by Korean Air between Honolulu and Bangkok. Starting Monday, June 28, Flight HA6002 departs Honolulu daily at 12:30 pm, with a stopover and connection to Flight HA6009 in Incheon, South Korea, before arriving in Bangkok at 11:00 pm the following day.

Return Flight HA6010 departs Bangkok daily at 12:30 am, with a stopover and connection to Flight HA6001 in Incheon, before arriving in Honolulu at 10:10 am, the same day. Travellers also have the option of connecting to Flight HA6019 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and having a shorter stopover before arriving in Honolulu at 11:45 pm the previous day. (Bangkok is 17 hours ahead of Honolulu and the flight crosses the International Dateline.)

Travelers can book Honolulu-Bangkok flights online at HawaiianAirlines.com.

Bangkok is the newest Asia-Pacific destination for which Hawaiian is teaming up with Korean Air to offer code-sharing benefits. Customers of Hawaiian can also book flights operated by Korean Air between Honolulu and Incheon and Busan in South Korea, as well as on Korean Air flights between Incheon and Busan. Hawaiian and Korean Air plan to continue expanding their code sharing relationship with additional destinations.

The two carriers initiated their code sharing in 2007, with Korean Air putting its KE booking code on Hawaiian’s interisland flights, and transpacific flights between Hawaii and the mainland US.
