Thai Airways says its new 'Dish of the Month' concept for its onboard menu will add to passenger satisfaction on domestic and international routes.
Piyasvasti Amranand, president of Thai, said the company is launching the campaign to mark Thai's 50th birthday celebrations.
"With customer satisfaction being of great importance to Thai, we have developed a diverse line of culinary delights that aims to impress customers on the international and domestic routes."
For only two days each month, starting in July, Thai will serve its Dish of the Month in its Business Class on select northern and southern domestic routes, which include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, and Samui.
On July 16, the main dish will be Tom Yum Koong Fried Rice with Black and White Cake for dessert on the northern routes and Silk Cake on the southern routes.
On July 30, THAI will serve Tom Yum Koong Fried Rice along with mixed vegetable salad on both the northern and southern routes.
Each month thereafter will feature a different dish on these dates.
For international routes, each month, Thai will launch a new dish for the select international route of the month. From July 16 on the Bangkok-Hong Kong commemorative route, Thai will serve Chinese-style Stir-fried Tiger Prawns in Royal First Class, and Hong Kong style Sweet-and-Sour Stir-fried Pork in Royal Silk Class and Economy Class.
