AirAsia has resumed its Kuala Lumpur –Tianjin flight following the temporary suspension of its services in November 2009 due to adverse weather conditions in North China. The flight to Tianjin resumed on February 1 marking the start of a new five-time weekly service, on a more economical aircraft- the Airbus A330 with two-class configuration of 28 premium seats and 355 economy seats. The change of aircraft from the previous Airbus A340 with a total of 30 premium and 256 economy seats used before the suspension proved more economical with 34% increase in capacity. In fact, AirAsia recorded a fantastic load of a total of 383 passengers from Kuala Lumpur to Tianjin when the flights resumed in early February. Australian passengers can access the Tianjin service from Kuala Lumpur on AirAsia X flights to KL from Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth. AirAsia is offering special low fares online for flights to Tianjin. Economy seats on Tianjin-Kuala Lumpur are now available from as low as RM249 (All-in-fare) one way until February 16, for travel between February 22 and May 31.
